Beach Trip Essentials

You have been thinking about it for weeks. You can’t wait to feel sand between your toes, the cool breeze coming off the ocean, the crashing sound of the waves, the saltiness of the water. Now you finally have a date to go, but what do you bring? Well, this post will educate you on all the essentials. When you are done reading this, you will be so prepared and so ready to go. My advice: add these items to your Amazon cart so they will all be at your front door in two days.

Here is the ultimate guide to the beach.

Beach Towel / / A beach towel is very important to bring along on your trip. You may want to bring a couple so you have one to lay on and one to dry off with. There are so many cute options on Amazon for beach towels. This beach towel comes in many prints!

Beach Bag / / This adorable beach bag is definitely one way to be stylin on the beach. It’s soo cute! And it comes with a free mini bag!!

Sunscreen / / This Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch Sunscreen is my favorite because it makes your skin feel great and it leaves a nice shimmer. Get that glow look you want with this sunscreen lotion! It comes in SPF 15, 30, and 50.

Snacks / / Food, of course, is always important. But as much as you love your snacks, so do the birds. So just guard your food because the birds will eat it.

Umbrella / / Being protected from the sun is nice when you are in it for hours. I like this Tommy Bahama umbrella because it anchors in the sand so it doesn’t blow away.

Chair / / I love this Tommy Bahama chair! It’s so perfect for a day at the beach. Check out all the designs it comes in! It’s low to the ground so you can enjoy the sandy beach. It has pockets for your phone and a drink holder! And it has a built-in pillow! ? Plus it folds up and is easy to carry.

Swim Suit Cover Up / / I learned the hard way just to wear a dress or cover up over your swim suit. It’s kind of awkward to take off your shirt and shorts and even more awkward to put them back on over a wet swim suit. This one is cute and it comes in every color.

Dry Change of Clothes / / This is important especially if you are going to a restaurant or shopping afterward. Just put your clothes in a sack and leave it in your car or in your beach bag. Then reuse the sack for your wet swim suit.

Sun Hat / / I love floppy hats! This is a must-have at the beach. For practicality and cuteness. This one is my favorite because there are SO many different sayings you can go with! Check out all the options here.

Tablet or Book / / If you want something to do while you are at the beach, you will want to bring your tablet to surf the web, book, drawing pad, or cross word puzzle.

Makeup / / Full face or keeping it light, you can pull it off at the beach. Here is a couple beach makeup essentials:

> Face Wipes / These makeup wipes will come in handy if you are wanting to take your makeup off. I love micellar water so I was excited when Garnier came out with micellar water facial wipes.

> SPF Moisturizer / Sun screen for your face is very important. This CeraVe Facial SPF 30 moisturizer is my favorite. Wear it alone or under makeup.

> Foundation / Tarte Amazonian Clay is my new favorite foundation. I like it because it dries matte. No powder needed! If you are wanting something light but still some coverage go with Revlon Colorstay. It’s by far the best drugstore foundation.

> Mascara / It Cosmetics Superhero mascara is the best. At the beach you want that natural beach look, and this mascara definitely gives you the falsies look.

> Setting Spray / This Urban Decay De-Slick setting spray is for oil control. There are a couple other ones like Chill (cooling and hydrating) and All Nighter (long lasting). I chose De-Slick because it’s for oily skin, but All Nighter is unbelievable for keeping your makeup in place.

> Bronzer / Don’t go without bronzer. It is an extra added step, but it’s so worth it. Bronzer defines your face. I like this one, but Physicians Formula is always a good go-to.

So this is my favorite beach acne-prone skin makeup routine because it’s so easy but yet flawless.

1. Just wipe your face with a micellar water wipe. 2. Put the SPF moisturizer on your face. 3. Put the Tarte foundation on next. 4. Brush a little mascara on your eyelashes. 5. Don’t forget bronzer under your cheek bones. 6. Spray, spray, spray with Urban Decay!

See? So. Easy. Flawless beach makeup routine.
