What to Bring in your Disney Bag

A bag is very important for your trip to Disney World. I recommend a small backpack, but you can use a crossbody bag or shoulder purse too. I went with cute: a 5 pound leather Fossil backpack. That was a mistake. Don’t start with a heavy bag. Search for a comfy backpack (even Walmart has cute backpacks). Try to buy everything before you go to Disney because you will overpay at the park. Add all these items to your Amazon cart so you will be Disney ready!

Poncho and/or Umbrella

It literally rains every day in Disney, so be prepared with a poncho. You can bring a pair of sandals to change into so your Nike’s don’t get wet, or you can go into almost any shop there and ask for plastic sacks to tie over your shoes. (Sounds crazy, but it worked ?) I brought both an umbrella and a poncho the first day, but I decided that a poncho was enough. Just bring a couple ponchos for each person so you can throw them away when it stops raining and you will have enough for each day. (You can save your wet poncho if you want- just go to a gift shop and ask for a bag to put it in, or be prepared with sacks.)

Food

This is how you save money and eat healthy. There are tables and benches everywhere that you can eat at. I brought Larabars (my favorite), fruit cups, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (I make mine with almond butter, strawberry jelly, and gluten-free bread), banana chips, and trail mix. Just when I started to feel a little weird eating my own food, I looked over at the next table and what do you know, they were eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches too. So many people have different diet restrictions, it’s normal to see homemade foods.

Spill-proof Water Bottle

I found the best bottle on Amazon. I love it! (even more than my Yeti) It’s spill-proof, high quality, came with two different lids, and it was really reasonably priced. Click here to find it. I clamped it to the outside of my bag so it was easy to access. You can go to any food or drink stand and ask for a free ice water.

Sunglasses + Case + Extra Sunglasses

Don’t go to Disney without your sunglasses! I brought an extra pair just in case I broke mine, and I am glad I did because at the beginning of the first day my sister broke hers. It’s so nice to be prepared.

Hat

I wore a hat every day at Disney. These are so cute! I think this is important to bring, and if you decide you don’t want to wear them all day, you can clasp them to your backpack or put it in your bag. I did have to take my hat off every day for a couple rides, but it was no big deal.

Mini Wallet

If you already have a mini wallet, you’re set. If you are like me and have a huge wallet for all your rewards cards and change, you will want to switch all your important cards in one tiny one. (This one is super cute and a great price) If you don’t buy a Disney Band (If you aren’t going more than once a year, I don’t see a need for it.) you are going to want your Disney fastpass card handy. I put my mini wallet in a hidden zipper on the outside of my bag for easy access. Just put your important things in your mini wallet: ID, Disney card, credit card, and maybe some cash.

Lipstick + Chapstick with SPF

If you don’t use Colourpop lipstick, you going to want to buy some asap. It’s the best lipstick I have ever come across. The Colourpop Ultra Matte dries very matte and dry- It is good for windy days so your hair isn’t sticking to your lips (there’s no wind in Florida). The Colourpop Ultra Satin is my favorite because it is a nice mix between matte and gloss. I put the Satin on before I left my hotel and it lasted all day. I just put on my SPF chapstick maybe twice throughout the day over it.

Pain Reliever

You never know when a horrible headache will come, and the last place you want to be suffering with one is Disney World. These tiny bottles are very inexpensive and such a convenient size. You may want to also pack Tums or other medications.

Hand Sanitizer / Antibacterial Wipes

SO many germs are at Disney. Be prepared with some GermX.

Sunscreen

Last thing you want is to be burnt on your vacation. This is the best stuff here, but if you want to go high SPF I like this stuff.

Hair Supplies + Makeup Touch Up

I brought extra hair ties just in case. And of course extra makeup for touch up. This no-color mattifying balm and Urban Decay De-Slick setting spray are always my makeup touch up go-to’s.
