5 Things To Do for a Better Week when Working at Home
Do you feel like you are just trying to get through the week? Are you always just looking forward to Friday, struggling to survive the weekdays? Start to enjoy everyday and get organized. The suggestions in this post will dramatically improve your daily life. Take control of your life with these five simple tips!
#1 Buy a Planner
This is probably the most important thing you can do for a better week. This planner is my favorite. Planners are important because you can look at your upcoming week and know exactly what you have going on. Some people like digital planners, but after experimenting with both, I like the paper copy of a planner. When you see your entire week ahead of you on paper, you don’t get overwhelmed about everything you need to get done. Is there anything you can do on Sunday night to jumpstart your week? Sunday is a perfect day to prep your next week and a planner will help you to do this. Write everything you need to get done in your new planner. When you write it down, you get it out of your head and onto your checklist. (Keep reading to find free daily planner downloads!)
#2 Relax
After a long week, it’s important to relax. No matter how busy your schedule is, you always have time to relax. Even sitting down while you’re folding laundry. Or watching your show while dinners in the Instant Pot. (I love my Instant Pot! It’s perfect for fast dinners!)
#3 Meal Prep
Meal prepping is a great way to organize your week. There are a couple different ways you can meal prep. One way is to plan a couple of your favorite meals for each day. $5 Meal Plan is a weekly meal plan service that can make your meal planning very simple. It’s only $5 a month to have your choice of menu sent to you each week! (Also, you can find lots of amazing coupons on their website, too!) Here is a coupon for a free trial! Another way you can meal prep is to chop up a couple vegetables and put them in labeled gallon baggies so when you cook your meals they go even faster. The last way to prep your meals is to actually precook almost everything. It’s not as crazy as it sounds! For example, if you are prepping your lunches you may cook rice, broccoli, and chicken. Then split that up between containers for each day.
#4 Clean
When your surroundings are clean and organized, your life feels more organized. Straighten up at least one thing around your house. When you have a clean house you feel better about your week. One load of laundry, hanging up all your clothes, cleaning out your purse, or vacuuming. Whatever you need to clean or organize to get your week off to a good start, start there.
#5 Prepare the Week
Make the best use of your Sunday’s. Get your outfit, lunch, and bag ready for Monday morning. If you aren’t a morning person you’ll love doing this and if you are a morning person, it will give you an extra couple minutes to relax and drink coffee.
